The English word “education” comes from the Latin verb educare, and, as most dictionaries will tell us, is related to another Latin verb educere.

Education: bringing out another persons potential.
In ancient Greece, Socrates argued that education was about drawing out what was already within the student. The word education comes from the Latin e-ducere meaning "to lead out." “To draw up” and “to bring out” from this we can deduce that true Christ based education is drawing out the career and character potential of the candidate. Educating people is not like filling up blank sheets of paper or pouring knowledge into their buckets, their brains…it is bringing out what Christ has already placed within them according to Eph 2:10…that is why education without Jesus Christ produces clever devils.

Education: providing a platform for another persons potential.
